Who operates ByePixel?

ByePixel.cc operates ByePixel from Singapore. This policy explains the information processed when you use byepixel.cc.

Image processing

Image conversion is performed locally within your web browser using a browser-based processing worker. Images selected for conversion are not uploaded to ByePixel’s servers or sent to a third-party image-processing service as part of vectorisation.

Uploaded images and generated SVG files are kept only in your browser’s temporary memory for the active page. ByePixel does not store them. They are discarded when you replace the image, reset the converter, close or reload the page, except for any SVG you choose to download to your own device.

Ownership of your files

ByePixel does not claim ownership of images you select or vector files generated from them. You remain responsible for the content you process.

Contact information

The Contact form prepares a message addressed to hello@byepixel.cc in your own email application. Nothing is submitted to ByePixel until you review and send that email. We process the name, reply address, subject and message you send solely to read, manage and reply to your enquiry. We do not use contact messages for marketing, and retain them only as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep necessary business records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.

Technical information

Our hosting infrastructure may automatically process ordinary request and security information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, approximate region, and date and time of access. This information may be used to deliver and secure the site, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. Retention of infrastructure logs is controlled by the hosting provider.

Analytics and tracking

ByePixel uses Google Analytics to understand visits and general use of the website, such as pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser information, referrals, scrolling, outbound-link clicks and file-download events. This helps us improve the service. ByePixel does not send your uploaded artwork or generated SVG content to Google Analytics.

Analytics information is processed by Google subject to its applicable privacy terms. ByePixel does not use advertising pixels or sell analytics data.

Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide measurement. You can restrict or clear these through your browser settings. The converter itself does not store your images or generated vectors in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage.

Service providers and overseas processing

ByePixel currently runs on OpenAI’s Sites hosting infrastructure. Providers acting on our behalf may process technical data needed to host, secure and deliver the service. If a contact-delivery provider is activated, it will process contact submissions for that purpose. We will take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements appropriate to the personal data involved, including where processing occurs outside Singapore.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the site and information processed through it, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We do not retain personal data longer than reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected or for applicable business and legal needs.

Your choices and enquiries

You may ask about personal data held by ByePixel.cc, request access or correction where applicable, withdraw consent with reasonable notice, or raise a privacy concern through the Contact page. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ByePixel’s features, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published here with a revised date.
